Module 3

Exploring digital data for self profile and creating a website or 3d scan that is about me. Discovering the applications called Scaniverse (scan 3d objects) and Meshmixer (change model's appearance). Moreover, P5.JS is about using some different drawings and 3D scans to create a website with face tracking and can be used to represent myself.

Reflexive Workshop 1 & 2

Designed for deaf users and users with bad listening. Any sound from nature and society will become similar meaningless noise due to their damaged brain or auditory system. Designed for people who have language barriers. This design aims to promote mutual understanding between people of different backgrounds, eliminate misunderstandings and promote the barrier-free interaction. Designed for colorblind people, and the main elements are “eyes” and “colored blocks”, which symbolize the observation, recording, and integration of fragmentation of data.

Final Project 3 Design

I chose to print my 3D scanned objects by using 3D printing to make my model physical, I've first chose the objects that are related to me or meaningful to me, and asked my friend to help me to scan myself using Scaniverse. After that, I discovered the app called Meshmixer to edit my scanned models and made the surface smoother than the original version. At last, I arranged the models on Cinema 4D and finally I printed the model through 3D printing too have my physical model.

Polaroid represents that I like to take photographs and record my life when going out with my friends, gamepad meant that I like to play games, which is also one of my habit. From this model, I wish people can know what I like to do and what kind of person am I.
