Project 1

Module 1

For this project, I began to discover how low voltage electricity works by using the materials provided in class, and find out different methods that can be used to make the testings of the circuits. Moreover, understanding the relationship between the batteries, positive and negative, and how to stick the LED lights. Moreover, the main thing is about creating the final designs of wearable and non-werable products that people can interact with the product, or making a product that will have a useful function.

Activity 1

Making test of low voltage electricity using metal button. Making test of low voltage electricity through complex pathway using copper tap. Making test of low voltage electricity through easy pathway using copper tap. Making test of low voltage electricity by having graphite to connect the electricity. How the test with metal button looks like when not connected. Making test of low voltage electricity using yarn. Making test of low voltage electricity by having graphite and see if the lights works or not. Making test of low voltage electricity using yarn #2. Making test of low voltage electricity through complex pathway using copper tap and light working. Making test of low voltage electricity through easy pathway using copper tap and light working. The gather of all the tests that I made to discover low voltage electricity. Making test of low voltage electricity through complex pathway using copper tap #2. Making test of low voltage electricity using yarn and light working. Making test of low voltage electricity through complex pathway using copper tap and light working. Making test of low voltage electricity by having graphite to connect the electricity #2. Making test of low voltage electricity by having graphite to connect the electricity and light working. Making test of low voltage electricity using metal button close in detail. Making test of low voltage electricity through complex pathway using copper tap close in detail. Activity 2

Drink coaster #1 Drink coaster #2 The chosen object that I want to design draft #1 The pathways of how I can organise the copper tape and LED light sticker draft. #1 When people puts their cup on the drink coaster, the weight will make the copper tape and battery connect together and make the LED light lighting. Maze game #1 Maze game #2 The chosen object that I want to design draft #2 The pathways of how I can organise the copper tape and LED light sticker draft. #2 This can be a game that users can play by connecting different buttons and finding out the correct pathways that can allow the lights to turn on. Book #1 Book #2 The chosen object that I want to design draft #3 The pathways of how I can organise the copper tape and LED light sticker draft. #3 After users finished reading the books, the users will close the book and this will make the copper tape and battery connect together and make the light turning on. Door bell #1 Door bell #2 The chosen object that I want to design draft #4 The pathways of how I can organise the copper tape and LED light sticker draft. #4 This will work by user pressing the door bell to make the battery and copper tape connecting together inside the button, and the lights will turn on, also use Makey Makey to connect with the sounds of door bell. Wind chime #1 Wind chime #2 The chosen object that I want to design draft #5 The pathways of how I can organise the copper tape and LED light sticker draft. #5 The wind chime will only be a decoration . When there's wind, the pipes will hit each other to make sounds, and this will allow the metal touch the battery and lights, so this can work by interaction between lights and wind.

Project 1

Final Project 1 Design

Wearable Interactive Affordance Based Circuit

A wearable design of product designed for pet: a choker that can allow users to let their pets to wear, the function is the let users find their pet in a much easier way when the pets are lost at home or outside in the dark. This is made by fabric, copper tape, battery, and three LED lights, the final design worked well, but the only problem was that I didn't measure suitable size so my friend's cat didn't have the chance to wear it.

Non-Wearable Interactive Affordance Based Circuit

A nin-wearable design of product designed for people to use: the LED light sticked on an iPad case, when user closes the iPad case, LED light will turn on, and the LED light will not be turned on when not connected to the copper tape. I made this using battery, copper tape, and LED light by sticking them onto my iPad case. I tried a few times and it did work well when opening or closing the iPad case.
